“The apartment is the absolutely perfect location to explore wonderful Porto. Sit on the balcony and soak in the glory. Alexandre speaks perfect English, French, and Portuguese, and is extremely helpful, with anything from finding a babysitter to recommending places to visit.”

“We spent 1 week in this appartment (3 adults and 3 kids). The location is perfect for us and perfect for kids too as they have a lot of space to play. They can also watch DVD’s and play outside on the safe terrasse. It is also very easy to come back home when they feel tired as the appartment is very close to most worth visiting sites.
The appartment is well equiped: we appreciated having a small computer with wifi connection at our disposal. Alexandre, the owner is very nice and helpful.
The view from the terrasse is amazing, one of the best of Oporto I think.
We really enjoyed spending our holiday there and will definitely return.

“This rustic old house was clean and spacious and located in the oldest part of the city. It certainly lived up to it’s advertising of offering the best views of the river Douro and the wine brewers in the city below.
It is a perfectly placed base to explore the city – being a few minutes walk to the central São Bento Station and metro, city shopping and of course being next to the cathedral. Being in the oldest part of the city it is situated in a very narrow street behind the cathedral. If you are renting a car, smaller will be easier.
For me, my fondest memories will be the hours spent relaxing in the beautiful sunny garden and terrace watching the city ‘go-by’ below us, and watching the boats pass on the river. And at night, the city is lit-up like christmas tree and the views from the house are awesome.

“Wonderful place to stay with great character. The apartment was large and airy with easy outdoor access to beautiful terrace complete with lemon trees. It was heaven to sit on the terrace having breakfast and watch the boats go by, but also to relax with a glass of port last thing at night with the views of the Port Houses twinkling with lights. What gorgeous views. Alex was very helpful and friendly.
We would advise anyone to lunch at Taylors Port House, where we were surprised at the reasonable cost of the food and the wine. Port was free! Its quite a climb to get there with no car, but a very easy stagger home! Enjoy

“Quel magnifique endroit! Appartment superbe et très grand, vue sublime sur le Douro. Merci Alexandre pour tout.
Fantastic large apartment, great location. The view on the Douro from the terrace is breathtaking, looking at the sunrise over the Douro … having a glass of wine with appetizers at 6:00 on the terrace after spending the day visiting around … It is even much nicer than the pictures. Alexandre is very helpful, thank you for everything, lots of information left in the apart, very well furnished kitchen. I strongly recommend this place.
Just dreaming of going back!”
